Instructions
- Cut the Parchita (passion fruit) in half and scoop out the pulp into a bowl using a spoon.
- In a blender, combine the Parchita pulp, water, and granulated sugar. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- To ensure a silky juice, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher, pressing down to extract as much liquid as possible while leaving the seeds behind.
- Taste the juice and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired, blending again briefly to mix.
- Chill the juice in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the chilled Parchita juice over ice cubes in glasses, garnishing with a slice of passion fruit or a sprig of mint for a pop of color.
Tips
- For a fun twist, try adding a splash of coconut water or a few mint leaves during the blending process for added freshness.
- This juice can also be used as a base for cocktails; mix with rum for a tropical drink!
