Servings: 4

Ingredients

Parchita (passion fruit)
6, halved
Water
4 cups
Granulated sugar
1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
Ice cubes
as needed

Instructions

  1. Cut the Parchita (passion fruit) in half and scoop out the pulp into a bowl using a spoon.
  2. In a blender, combine the Parchita pulp, water, and granulated sugar. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. To ensure a silky juice, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher, pressing down to extract as much liquid as possible while leaving the seeds behind.
  4. Taste the juice and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired, blending again briefly to mix.
  5. Chill the juice in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Serve the chilled Parchita juice over ice cubes in glasses, garnishing with a slice of passion fruit or a sprig of mint for a pop of color.
