
Parmesan Crusted Chicken
This Parmesan crusted chicken is crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Egg (1, beaten)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Dried oregano (1 teaspoon)
- Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
- Breadcrumbs (1 cup)
- Parmesan cheese (1 cup, grated)
- Chicken breasts (4 boneless, skinless)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, then coat it with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add the coated chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before serving.
