Black pepper
to taste
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Breadcrumbs
1/2 cup
Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup, grated
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Artichokes
4 medium-sized, fresh

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the artichokes by trimming the tough outer leaves, then cut off the top third of each artichoke to reveal the tender heart.
  3. Halve the artichokes lengthwise and scoop out the fuzzy choke with a spoon, creating a cavity for the topping.
  4. Place the artichoke halves cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Drizzle the olive oil generously over the artichokes, ensuring they are well coated. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine the grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and chopped parsley. Mix until well combined.
  7. Evenly sprinkle the Parmesan mixture over each artichoke half, pressing down slightly to ensure it adheres.
  8. Roast the artichokes in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until they are tender and the Parmesan crust is golden brown and crispy.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy these delectable artichokes warm!
