Instructions
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
- Season the chicken strips with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing them into thin strips.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir frequently and let it cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked pasta and sliced chicken to the skillet. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are well coated in the creamy Alfredo sauce.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and additional grated Parmesan cheese before serving. Enjoy hot!
