Ingredients

Ground beef
1 pound
Salt
1/2 teaspoon, or to taste
Pepper
1/4 teaspoon, or to taste
Pastrami
8 slices
Swiss cheese
4 slices
Hamburger buns

Mayonnaise

Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons
Pickle slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. While the grill is preheating, season the ground beef with salt and pepper, then form into 4 evenly sized patties.
  3. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
  4. Top each patty with 2 slices of pastrami, followed by a slice of Swiss cheese, then close the grill and let it cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
  5. While the burgers are grilling, prepare the Dijon-mayo sauce by mixing together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard in a small bowl.
  6. Lightly toast the split hamburger buns on the grill for added crunch.
  7. Spread the Dijon-mayo sauce evenly on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  8. Place a grilled pastrami burger on each bun, followed by 2 pickle slices.
  9. Cover with the top half of the bun, press down gently, and serve immediately.
