Ingredients

Fresh peppermint leaves
1 cup, loosely packed
Vodka
750 ml
Water
1 cup
Granulated sugar
1 cup

Instructions

  1. Rinse the fresh peppermint leaves gently under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Place the prepared peppermint leaves in a clean, sterilized jar. Pour the vodka over the leaves, ensuring they are fully submerged. Seal the jar tightly and place it in a cool, dark place for about one week to allow the flavors to infuse.
  3. After a week, strain the vodka through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean bottle, discarding the peppermint leaves.
  4. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool to room temperature.
  5. Once the sugar syrup has cooled, combine it with the infused vodka in the same bottle. Shake well to mix until fully incorporated.
