Summer Bliss Peach and Nectarine Milkshake

In this delightful recipe, we bring you the Summer Bliss Peach and Nectarine Milkshake. This milkshake is a beautiful blend of plump peaches and juicy nectarines, whisked together with creamy milk, a hint of vanilla and a touch of honey. The result is a refreshing, sweet and creamy drink that encapsulates the essence of a sunny summer afternoon. This milkshake originates from the southern United States, where peaches are plentiful and a staple in many recipes.

Serves 2

Ingredients

Peaches
2, medium, peeled and pitted
Nectarines
2, medium, peeled and pitted
Milk
2 cups
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Ice cubes
1 cup
Honey
1-2 tablespoons, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your fruits. Peel the peaches and nectarines, then carefully cut around the pit to remove it. You should be left with only the juicy fruit flesh.
  2. In a high-powered blender, add the peeled and pitted peaches and nectarines.
  3. Next, pour in the milk. This will help to blend the fruit smoothly.
  4. Add the vanilla extract to give a hint of warmth and sweetness to the milkshake.
  5. Add the ice cubes. This will chill your milkshake and give it a refreshing, cool taste.
  6. Blend the mixture until it's smooth and creamy. Depending on your blender, this could take between 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  7. Taste the milkshake. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add honey to taste. Blend again to mix in the honey.
  8. Pour the milkshake into glasses and serve immediately. Enjoy the refreshing, sweet taste of summer in every sip!

Tips

  • 💡 For a vegan alternative, replace the milk with a dairy-free option like almond milk or soy milk.
  • 💡 If you prefer a thicker milkshake, you can add a scoop of vanilla ice cream instead of the ice cubes.
  • 💡 For an adult version, add a splash of bourbon or peach schnapps before blending.
