Transport yourself to the sunny orchards of summer with this Peach and Plum Summer Bliss Milkshake. The marriage of juicy peaches and sweet, slightly tangy plums creates a refreshing symphony of flavors that dance on the palate. This recipe, believed to have its roots in the 1880s when the milkshake was originally a whisky-based cocktail, has been refined over the years into the creamy, fruit-based delight we relish today. The addition of honey and vanilla ice cream rounds off this delightful treat with a creamy sweetness that will have you savoring every last drop.

Servings: 2

Ingredients

Peaches
2, peeled, pitted, and chopped
Plums
2, pitted and chopped
Milk
1 cup
Vanilla ice cream
2 scoops
Honey
2 tablespoons or to taste
Ice cubes
1 cup

Instructions

  1. Prepare your fruits by washing them thoroughly. Peel the peaches, remove the pits from both the peaches and plums, and chop them into small chunks.
  2. In a blender, combine the chopped peaches and plums, milk, vanilla ice cream, and honey.
  3. Add the ice cubes to the mixture. This will help thicken your milkshake and keep it chilled.
  4. Blend the mixture on high speed until it becomes smooth and creamy. Ensure there are no fruit chunks remaining for a velvety texture.
  5. Taste the milkshake and add more honey if desired. Blend again if necessary.
  6. Pour the milkshake into chilled glasses. Serve immediately for optimal refreshment.
  7. Optional: For an extra touch of elegance, garnish with a slice of peach or plum on the rim of the glass.
