Serves 6

Ingredients

Water
8 cups
Black tea bags
4 bags
Fresh peaches
3, pitted and sliced
Sugar
1/2 cup (adjust to taste)
Fresh mint leaves
1/2 cup, plus extra for garnish
Ice cubes
as needed

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring the water to a rolling boil.
  2. Add the sliced peaches to the boiling water, reduce the heat to low, and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes to infuse the flavor.
  3. Once the peach slices have softened, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the pot, leaving the peach-infused water behind.
  4. Stir the sugar into the hot peach water until fully dissolved. Adjust sweetness according to preference.
  5. Remove the pot from heat and add the black tea bags, allowing them to steep for 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags afterward.
  6. Let the tea cool to room temperature, then transfer to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour.
  7. To serve, fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the chilled tea over the ice, and garnish with the cooked peach slices and fresh mint leaves.

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra dimension of flavor, try adding a splash of lemon juice or a few slices of fresh ginger during the simmering process.
  • 💡 If you prefer a sweeter tea, feel free to adjust the sugar based on your taste. You can also use honey or agave syrup as alternatives.
  • 💡 Experiment with different types of tea, such as green or herbal teas, for a different flavor profile.
