- Granulated sugar
- 1 cup
- Egg
- 1 large
- Milk
- 1/2 cup
- Vanilla extract

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a 9-inch round cake pan, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the brown sugar until it dissolves and forms a caramel-like mixture.
- Arrange the sliced peaches on top of the caramel mixture in a single layer, pressing them down slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the remaining 2 tablespoons of softened unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until well incorporated.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- Pour the batter evenly over the peaches in the cake pan, spreading it gently with a spatula.
