Pepper Steak Stir Fry

Ingredients
- Cooked rice
- 2 cups
- Salt and pepper
- to taste
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon, minced
- Garlic
- 2 cloves, minced
- Onion
- 1 medium, sliced
- Bell peppers
- 2, one red and one green, sliced
- Beef sirloin
- 1 pound, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and cornstarch. Whisk until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Set aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add the beef slices to the hot oil, stir frying for 2-3 minutes until they are nicely browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced onion, bell peppers, minced garlic, and ginger. Stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until the vegetables are slightly softened but still retain a crunch.
- Return the browned beef to the skillet. Pour in the sauce mixture, making sure to stir well so that the beef and vegetables are evenly coated.
- Continue to stir fry for an additional 2 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the Pepper Steak Stir Fry hot, over a bed of cooked rice.
