
Pesto Pasta
This delicious pesto pasta is made with fresh basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil.
Ingredients
- Black pepper (to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Olive oil (1/2 cup)
- Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Pine nuts (1/4 cup)
- Garlic (2 cloves)
- Fresh basil leaves (2 cups)
- Pasta (12 ounces)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a food processor, combine the basil, garlic, pine nuts, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Process until smooth and creamy.
- In a large pan, heat the pesto sauce over medium heat. Add the cooked pasta and toss until well coated.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is heated through.
- Serve hot and garnish with additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
