Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the bacon drippings in the skillet.
- In the same skillet with the bacon drippings, add the thinly sliced ribeye steak. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the sliced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet. Sauté until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
- While the vegetables are cooking, slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise and spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on one side of each roll.
- Layer the cooked steak, crispy bacon, sautéed onions, and green bell peppers on the bottom half of each roll.
- Top with provolone cheese slices and place the sandwiches under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the broiler and place the top half of the hoagie rolls on each sandwich.
- Serve hot and enjoy the savory delight!
Tips
- For an extra kick, add sliced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce.
- You can substitute the ribeye with sirloin or flank steak for a different flavor profile.
- Feel free to customize your sandwich with additional toppings such as mushrooms or pickles.
