Ingredients

Original recipe serves 4

Cumin
1 teaspoon
Paprika
1 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black Pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Onions
1 large, finely chopped
Potatoes
2 large, peeled and cubed
Chorizo
200g, sliced

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chorizo and cook until it starts to release its oil and becomes browned, approximately 5 minutes.
  3. Add the finely chopped onions and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until the onions become soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the cubed potatoes, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cumin to the skillet. Stir all the ingredients until they are well combined.
  5. Cover the skillet and let it cook until the potatoes are tender and have absorbed the flavors of the chorizo and spices, around 15 minutes.
  6. Serve the Picadillo de Chorizo hot. Garnish it with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon for added freshness, if desired.
