1/4 cup, chopped
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Bell pepper
1, diced (red or green)
Onion
1 medium, chopped
Ground beef
1 pound
Potatoes
3 medium, diced

Instructions

  1. In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground beef to the pan and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes. Once cooked, remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, add the chopped onion, diced bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft and fragrant.
  4. Stir in the diced potatoes, ensuring they are well combined with the vegetables. Cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are fork-tender.
  5. Return the browned ground beef to the pan and mix thoroughly with the vegetables and potatoes. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Add the chopped cilantro and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and well combined.
  7. Serve the Picadillo de Papa hot, alongside steaming rice or warm tortillas for a complete meal.
