
Pinto Bean and Cheese Dip
This delicious pinto bean and cheese dip is perfect for parties or as a snack. It's creamy, flavorful, and easy to make.
Ingredients
- Tortilla chips (for serving)
- Salt (to taste)
- Garlic powder (1/2 teaspoon)
- Cumin (1 teaspoon)
- Chopped green onions (1/4 cup)
- Diced tomatoes (1/2 cup)
- Shredded cheddar cheese (1 cup)
- Sour cream (1/2 cup)
- Cream cheese (8 ounces, softened)
- Pinto beans (2 cans, drained and rinsed)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mash the pinto beans with a fork or potato masher until smooth.
- Add the cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheddar cheese, diced tomatoes, chopped green onions, cumin, garlic powder, and salt. Mix well to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a microwave-safe dish and microwave on high for 2-3 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted.
- Stir the dip well and serve hot with tortilla chips.
