Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Ground Beef (1 pound)
- Pinto Beans (1 can (15 oz), drained and rinsed)
- Taco Seasoning (1 packet (1 oz))
- Onion (1 medium, diced)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Tortillas (8)
- Shredded Lettuce (2 cups)
- Diced Tomatoes (1 cup)
- Shredded Cheese (1 cup)
- Sour Cream (1/2 cup)
- Salsa (1/2 cup)
- Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
Instructions
- Start by heating a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until it's browned, stirring occasionally to break up the meat. Once browned, drain the excess fat from the skillet.
- Next, add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the ground beef. Cook until the onion becomes translucent.
- Stir in the taco seasoning followed by the pinto beans. Continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes until everything is well heated.
- While the beef and bean mixture is cooking, warm the tortillas in a separate skillet over medium heat or in the microwave for about 10 seconds each.
- To assemble the tacos, start by spooning the beef and bean mixture onto each warmed tortilla. Then top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream, a spoonful of salsa, and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro.
- Fold the tortillas in half and serve immediately. Enjoy your homemade Pinto Bean and Ground Beef Tacos!
