Serves 4

Ingredients

Ripe mango
2 cups, diced (about 2 medium mangoes)
Plain yogurt
1 cup
Water
1/2 cup
Granulated sugar
2 tablespoons (adjust to taste)
Salt
a pinch
Ice cubes
1 cup
Ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Fresh mint leaves
for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by peeling and dicing the ripe mangoes into small pieces.
  2. In a blender, combine the diced mango, yogurt, water, sugar, salt, ice cubes, and ground cardamom (if using).
  3. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and frothy, about 1-2 minutes. Stop to scrape down the sides of the blender if necessary.
  4. Taste the lassi and adjust the sweetness by adding more sugar if desired. Blend again to combine.
  5. Pour the lassi into tall glasses and serve chilled, garnished with a sprinkle of cardamom or a mint leaf for an added touch of freshness.

Tips

  • 💡 For a thicker lassi, use Greek yogurt instead of regular yogurt.
  • 💡 You can substitute the water with milk or coconut milk for a creamier texture.
  • 💡 Add a few drops of rose water for an aromatic twist.
