Ingredients
- Mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, etc.)
- 2 cups, fresh or frozen
- Orange
- 1, juiced
- Lemon
- 1, juiced
- Sugar
- 1/2 cup, adjust to taste
- Water
- 2 cups
- Carbonated water
- 4 cups, chilled
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the mixed berries, freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice, sugar, and 2 cups of water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
- Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- After simmering, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher, discarding the solids. Press down on the berries to extract as much liquid as possible.
- Let the berry mixture cool to room temperature before stirring in the chilled carbonated water gently to preserve its fizz.
