Historically, pork tenderloin has been a favored cut due to its tenderness and versatility, making it a staple in various cuisines worldwide.

Ingredients

Pork tenderloin
1.5 pounds
Olive oil
2 tablespoons
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Garlic
1 whole bulb, roasted
Butter
1/2 cup, softened

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. To roast the garlic, cut the top off the bulb, drizzle with a little olive oil, wrap in foil, and roast in the oven for about 30-35 minutes until soft and caramelized. Allow to cool slightly, then squeeze the garlic cloves out into a small bowl.
  3. In a bowl, combine the softened butter and the mashed roasted garlic. Mix until well blended and season with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Season the pork tenderloin generously with salt and black pepper on all sides.
  5. In an oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, sear the pork tenderloin on all sides until browned, about 2 minutes per side.
  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
  7. Once cooked, remove the pork tenderloin from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.
  8. Slice the pork tenderloin and serve with a generous dollop of roasted garlic butter on top, allowing it to melt into the warm meat.

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra kick, add a teaspoon of fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary to the garlic butter.
  • 💡 Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or creamy mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
  • 💡 If you have leftovers, slice the pork and use it in sandwiches or salads for a quick meal.
