- Unsalted butter
- 150 grams, divided
- Brown shrimps
- 200 grams, peeled
- Lemon
- 1, juiced and zested
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon, freshly ground
- Cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon
- Nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon, freshly grated
- Fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt 100 grams of unsalted butter over low heat until completely liquid.
- Add the brown shrimps, lemon juice, lemon zest, nutmeg, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir well to ensure the shrimps are evenly coated with the spices.
- Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the shrimps are heated through and fragrant. Be careful not to overcook.
- Divide the shrimp mixture evenly among four small ramekins or pots, ensuring an even distribution of shrimps.
- Melt the remaining 50 grams of unsalted butter and pour it over the shrimp mixture in each ramekin, ensuring the shrimps are completely covered with butter.
- Allow the pots to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the butter is firm.
- Before serving, garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a touch of color and flavor.
- Serve the potted shrimps chilled with toasted bread on the side for spreading.
