Instructions
- In a medium bowl, add the corn dough and a small amount of water. Dissolve the dough by stirring until it forms a smooth, lump-free paste.
- Gradually add the rest of the water to the paste, while continuing to stir, until it's fully incorporated.
- Stir in the salt until it's evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- If you prefer a sweet Pozol, add sugar to taste and stir well until it's completely dissolved.
- Refrigerate the Pozol for at least an hour to allow it to chill and the flavors to mingle.
- Before serving, give the Pozol a good stir to ensure the corn dough is evenly distributed.
- Serve cold for a refreshing, hydrating, and energy-boosting beverage.
Tips
- The consistency of Pozol can be adjusted according to your preference. For a thicker drink, use more corn dough; for a thinner one, add more water.
- Although traditional Pozol is plain, you can add a twist to it by blending in fruits like pineapple or mango for a fruity version.
- If you don't have Masa Harina, you can also use fresh corn dough.
