Indulge in the timeless elegance of this Classic Prawn Cocktail Sauce. This tangy yet creamy sauce is a symphony of flavors that pairs perfectly with succulent prawns. Its zesty notes of lemon, horseradish, and Tabasco are harmoniously balanced by the rich creaminess of mayonnaise and ketchup. This sauce will instantly transport you to the retro era of the 1960s when prawn cocktails were the epitome of sophistication at dinner parties.

Salt
to taste
Tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon
Horseradish
1 tablespoon, freshly grated
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon, freshly squeezed
Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon
Ketchup
1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, freshly squeezed lemon juice, freshly grated horseradish, Tabasco sauce, salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. Using a whisk, mix all the ingredients until they are fully incorporated and the sauce is smooth.
  3. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning according to your personal preference. If you prefer a spicier sauce, feel free to add more Tabasco.
