Fresh basil leaves
10-12 leaves
Balsamic glaze
2 tablespoons
Honey
2 tablespoons
Goat cheese
200 grams, softened
Fresh figs
6-8, sliced thin
Prosciutto
10-12 slices, thin
Baguette
1 loaf
Olive oil
2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices, yielding 10-12 slices depending on the size of the baguette.
  3. Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Ensure each slice is lightly coated for a golden toast.
  4. Toast the baguette slices in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until they turn golden brown. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  5. While the baguette slices are toasting, slice the fresh figs into thin rounds.
  6. Once the baguette slices are toasted, spread a generous layer of softened goat cheese on each slice.
  7. Layer each slice with a piece of prosciutto, followed by a few slices of fresh fig.
  8. Drizzle each crostini with honey and balsamic glaze, adding a sweet and tangy contrast to the salty prosciutto.
  9. Garnish each crostini with a fresh basil leaf, adding a burst of freshness and color.
  10. Serve the crostini immediately and enjoy the symphony of flavors!

Tips

  • 💡 For a vegetarian option, substitute the prosciutto with caramelized onions or roasted bell peppers.
  • 💡 For added crunch, you can also top the crostini with toasted walnuts or almonds.
