Prosciutto E Funghi Pizza

This delicious pizza is topped with prosciutto, mushrooms, and mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Olive oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Fresh basil (1/4 cup, chopped)
  • Mushrooms (8 ounces, sliced)
  • Prosciutto (4 ounces, thinly sliced)
  • Mozzarella cheese (2 cups, shredded)
  • Tomato sauce (1/2 cup)
  • Pizza dough (1 pound)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Top with the prosciutto and sliced mushrooms.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over the toppings.
  8. Drizzle the olive oil over the pizza.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped basil.
  12. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
