Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Extra virgin olive oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Fresh basil leaves (1/4 cup, torn)
  • Anchovy fillets (4 fillets)
  • Black olives (1/2 cup, sliced)
  • Cherry tomatoes (1 cup, halved)
  • Mozzarella cheese (8 ounces, shredded)
  • Tomato sauce (1/2 cup)
  • Pizza dough (1 pound)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
  6. Top with cherry tomatoes, black olives, and anchovy fillets.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Drizzle the pizza with extra virgin olive oil.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
  11. Garnish with torn fresh basil leaves before serving.
  12. Slice and enjoy!
