
Pulpeta
Pulpeta is a traditional Spanish meatloaf made with ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, and spices. It is typically served with a tomato-based sauce.
Ingredients
- Red wine (1/4 cup)
- Tomato sauce (2 cups)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Paprika (1/2 teaspoon)
- Black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
- Salt (1 teaspoon)
- Parsley (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Onion (1 medium, finely chopped)
- Eggs (2)
- Breadcrumbs (1/2 cup)
- Ground beef (1.5 pounds)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a greased baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the tomato sauce and red wine. Pour the mixture over the meatloaf.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the top is browned.
- Let the pulpeta rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
- Serve the pulpeta with the tomato sauce from the baking dish.
