Ingredients
- Fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup, chopped
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon, to taste
- Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon, to taste
- Garlic
- 3 cloves, minced
- Unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons, divided
- Lemon
- 1 large, juiced and zested
- Red snapper fillets
- 4 (6-ounce) fillets
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Rinse the red snapper fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Carefully place the seasoned red snapper fillets in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the fish for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the fillets are cooked through and flake easily with a fork.
- While the fish is baking, prepare the lemon butter sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add the lemon juice and zest, stirring until well combined and heated through.
- Once the fish is finished baking, remove it from the oven and drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the top.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately, paired with your favorite sides.
Tips
- For extra flavor, marinate the red snapper in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking.
- Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh green salad to balance the richness of the sauce.
