Ingredients

Original recipe serves 4

Fresh parsley
1/4 cup, chopped
Salt
1 teaspoon, to taste
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon, to taste
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Unsalted butter
4 tablespoons, divided
Lemon
1 large, juiced and zested
Red snapper fillets
4 (6-ounce) fillets

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the red snapper fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
  3. In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  4. Carefully place the seasoned red snapper fillets in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the fish for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the fillets are cooked through and flake easily with a fork.
  6. While the fish is baking, prepare the lemon butter sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over low heat. Add the lemon juice and zest, stirring until well combined and heated through.
  7. Once the fish is finished baking, remove it from the oven and drizzle the lemon butter sauce over the top.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately, paired with your favorite sides.

Tips

  • 💡 For extra flavor, marinate the red snapper in a mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, and herbs for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • 💡 Serve with a side of roasted vegetables or a fresh green salad to balance the richness of the sauce.
