Milkfish (bangus), deboned

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pan, heat the cooking oil over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the minced garlic and chopped onion until fragrant and translucent.
  4. Add the ground pork to the pan and cook until it is browned and cooked through.
  5. Stir in the diced carrots, potatoes, and bell pepper. Add the soy sauce, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove the mixture from heat and let it cool slightly.
  7. Carefully stuff the deboned milkfish with the pork and vegetable mixture, ensuring it's well-packed. Secure the opening of the fish with toothpicks or kitchen twine to keep the filling intact.
  8. Place the stuffed milkfish in a baking dish and drizzle with a little more soy sauce if desired. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the top is golden brown.
  9. Once done, remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  10. Serve hot with steamed rice and enjoy your delicious Rellenong Bangus!
