Salt

Black pepper
to taste
Red onion
4 slices, thinly cut
Tomato
4 slices
Lettuce
4 leaves
Dijon mustard
4 teaspoons
Mayonnaise
4 teaspoons
Bread
4 slices, your choice
Cheddar cheese
4 slices
Roast beef
8 slices

Instructions

  1. Lay out the slices of bread on a clean, flat surface.
  2. Spread a teaspoon of mayonnaise on one side of each bread slice.
  3. On the other side of each bread slice, spread a teaspoon of Dijon mustard.
  4. On two bread slices, layer four slices of roast beef, followed by two slices of cheddar cheese.
  5. Place two lettuce leaves on top of the cheddar, followed by two slices of tomato and two slices of red onion.
  6. Season the assembled layers with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Place the remaining bread slices on top, mustard side down, creating a sandwich.
  8. Repeat with the remaining ingredients to make the second sandwich.
  9. Cut each sandwich in half and serve immediately.
