Original recipe serves 4

Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup, freshly grated
Salt
1 teaspoon, or to taste
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon, freshly ground
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Olive oil
3 tablespoons
Brussels sprouts
1.5 pounds, trimmed and halved

Instructions

  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil until they are well coated.
  3. Add the minced garlic, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to the bowl. Toss again to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  4. Spread the Brussels sprouts out on a large baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they aren't overcrowded to achieve maximum crispiness.
  5. Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts begin to caramelize and turn a golden brown.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the Brussels sprouts.
  7. Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for another 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and slightly crispy.
  8. Serve the Brussels sprouts hot as a side dish with your favorite main course.

Tips

  • 💡 For a vegan twist, replace the Parmesan cheese with nutritional yeast. If you like a bit of heat, add a pinch of red pepper flakes along with the garlic.
