Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Garlic-Parmesan Crust

Ingredients
- Parmesan cheese
 - 1/2 cup, freshly grated
 - Salt
 - 1 teaspoon, or to taste
 - Black pepper
 - 1/2 teaspoon, freshly ground
 - Garlic
 - 4 cloves, minced
 - Olive oil
 - 3 tablespoons
 - Brussels sprouts
 - 1.5 pounds, trimmed and halved
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
 - In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil until they are well coated.
 - Add the minced garlic, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to the bowl. Toss again to evenly distribute the seasonings.
 - Spread the Brussels sprouts out on a large baking sheet in a single layer, ensuring they aren't overcrowded to achieve maximum crispiness.
 - Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the Brussels sprouts begin to caramelize and turn a golden brown.
 - Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the Brussels sprouts.
 - Return the baking sheet to the oven and roast for another 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is melted and slightly crispy.
 - Serve the Brussels sprouts hot as a side dish with your favorite main course.
