Servings: 4

Ingredients

Salt
1 teaspoon
Pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup, grated
Mozzarella cheese
2 cups, shredded
Fresh basil
1/4 cup, chopped
Cherry tomatoes
1 cup, halved
Mushrooms
1 cup, sliced
Red onion
1/2, thinly sliced
Zucchini
1 medium, sliced into thin rounds
Bell peppers
1 cup, sliced
Olive oil
3 tablespoons
Pizza dough
1 lb

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness. This will form the foundation of your pizza.
  3. Carefully transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  4. Lightly brush the dough with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. This will create a beautiful golden crust.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the sliced bell peppers, zucchini, red onion, mushrooms, and halved cherry tomatoes. Toss them with the remaining olive oil, salt, and pepper to ensure an even coat.
  6. Spread the seasoned vegetable mixture evenly over the prepared pizza dough. Be sure to leave a small border for the crust.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the vegetables. The cheese will melt into a luxurious, creamy layer.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust turns a beautiful golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly caramelized.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately sprinkle with the fresh basil. The residual heat will gently wilt the basil, releasing its aromatic oils.
  10. Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your slice of rustic Italian heaven.
