
Salsa Fresca
Salsa fresca, also known as pico de gallo, is a fresh and vibrant Mexican salsa made with tomatoes, onions, cilantro, lime juice, and jalapenos.
Ingredients
- Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Lime juice (2 tablespoons)
- Jalapeno (1 small, seeded and finely chopped)
- Fresh cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Red onion (1/2 small, finely chopped)
- Tomatoes (4 medium, diced)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, chopped cilantro, and finely chopped jalapeno.
- Add the lime juice, salt, and black pepper to the bowl.
- Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed.
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Serve the salsa fresca as a dip with tortilla chips or as a topping for tacos, burritos, or grilled meats.
