Sandheko

Sandheko is a popular Nepali snack made with marinated vegetables and spices.

Ingredients

  • Chat masala (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Red chili powder (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Black salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Roasted cumin powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
  • Lemon juice (2 tablespoons)
  • Green chili (2, finely chopped)
  • Onion (1, finely chopped)
  • Tomato (2, diced)
  • Cucumber (1, diced)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced cucumber, tomato, onion, and green chili.
  2. Add lemon juice, cilantro, roasted cumin powder, salt, black salt, red chili powder, and chat masala.
  3. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly coated.
  4. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  5. Serve the Sandheko as a refreshing and tangy appetizer.
