
Sausage and Mushroom Omelette
This delicious omelette is filled with savory sausage and mushrooms, perfect for a hearty breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
- Butter (1 tablespoon)
- Green onions (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Cheddar cheese (1/2 cup, shredded)
- Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Milk (2 tablespoons)
- Eggs (4)
- Mushrooms (1 cup, sliced)
- Sausage (4 links, casings removed)
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture and become tender. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat the butter in the skillet over medium heat. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and cook until the edges start to set.
- Sprinkle the cooked sausage, mushrooms, cheddar cheese, and green onions evenly over one half of the omelette.
- Fold the other half of the omelette over the filling and cook for another minute, or until the cheese is melted.
- Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
