Servings: 2

Sausage
1 cup, crumbled (breakfast sausage or your choice)
Onion
1 medium, thinly sliced
Green onions
2, chopped (for garnish)
Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup, shredded
Butter
2 tablespoons
Milk
1/4 cup
Eggs
4 large
Salt
to taste
Pepper
to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the crumbled sausage until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized and golden brown, about 10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined and frothy.
  4. Heat the butter in the skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbly. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet and allow it to cook undisturbed until the edges start to set, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the cooked sausage, caramelized onions, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped green onions evenly over one half of the omelette.
  6. Carefully fold the other half of the omelette over the filling. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the omelette is cooked through.
  7. Slide the omelette onto a plate, cut in half, and serve hot. Garnish with additional green onions if desired. Enjoy your hearty breakfast!
