
Sausage Roll
A delicious and savory pastry filled with seasoned sausage meat.
Ingredients
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Egg (1, beaten (for egg wash))
- Dried herbs (such as thyme, rosemary, or sage) (1 teaspoon)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Onion (1, finely chopped)
- Sausage meat (500 grams)
- Puff pastry (1 sheet)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the sausage meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, dried herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
- Spread the sausage mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Roll up the pastry tightly, starting from one of the long sides.
- Cut the rolled pastry into 8 equal-sized pieces.
- Place the sausage rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is cooked through.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
