Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the water to a rolling boil. Stir in the Old Bay Seasoning and salt.
- Add the halved potatoes, sliced sausage, quartered onions, and smashed garlic. Cook for 10 minutes until the potatoes start to soften.
- Introduce the corn halves to the pot and cook for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the corn to absorb the flavors.
- Carefully add the shrimp, crab legs, and halved lobster tails to the pot. Cook until the shrimp turn pink and opaque, and the lobster is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once cooked, drain the water from the pot. Be cautious, as the contents will be hot!
- Squeeze the juice of the lemons over the seafood and drizzle with the melted butter, tossing gently to combine all the flavors.
- Serve the seafood boil hot on a newspaper-lined table or a large platter, garnished with lemon wedges and extra melted butter on the side.
Tips
- Feel free to customize your seafood boil by adding mussels or clams for an even richer flavor.
- For a spicier kick, add cayenne pepper or sliced jalapeños to the boiling mixture.
- Pair the seafood boil with crusty bread to soak up the delicious buttery broth.
