Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Set aside.
- Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
- Add the marinated beef to the skillet, stir frying for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets, sliced carrots, and bell pepper. Stir fry for 3-4 minutes, until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the cornstarch slurry. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens and clings to the beef and vegetables.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
- Serve the sesame beef stir fry hot, ideally with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
Tips
- For a spicier kick, add some red pepper flakes or a splash of sriracha to the marinade.
- You can substitute the beef with chicken, shrimp, or tofu for a different protein option.
- Feel free to include other vegetables like snap peas, mushrooms, or zucchini based on your preference.
