Servings: 4

Ingredients

Ice cubes
as needed
Water
4 cups
Fresh mint leaves
1 cup
Granulated sugar
1 cup
White vinegar
1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Combine the granulated sugar and white vinegar in a medium-sized saucepan. Place the pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Once the sugar is fully dissolved, remove the saucepan from the heat. Add the fresh mint leaves to the vinegar and sugar mixture, allowing them to steep in the mixture for about 10 minutes.
  3. After the mint has steeped, strain the mixture into a large pitcher, effectively discarding the mint leaves.
  4. Pour the water into the pitcher containing the vinegar, sugar, and mint extract. Stir the mixture well to ensure that all components are well distributed.
  5. Serve the Sharbat-e Ghoraasfeh over ice cubes for a refreshing, cool experience. Enjoy this traditional Persian drink as a standalone beverage or paired with your favorite Persian meal.
