Shredded BBQ Chicken

This shredded BBQ chicken recipe is a flavorful and easy to make dish that's perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Onion powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Worcestershire sauce (1 tablespoon)
  • Apple cider vinegar (1/4 cup)
  • Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
  • Bbq sauce (2 cups)
  • Chicken breasts (4, boneless and skinless)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken breasts in a slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  5. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks.
  6. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir it into the sauce.
  7. Serve the shredded BBQ chicken on buns, over rice, or as a topping for nachos.
