Shrimp and Broccoli in Garlic Sauce

Ingredients
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Water
- 2 tablespoons
- Cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon
- Oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Garlic
- 4 cloves, minced
- Broccoli
- 2 cups, cut into florets
- Shrimp
- 1 pound, peeled and deveined
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. Stir until the cornstarch is fully dissolved and set the sauce aside.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant, but be careful not to let it burn.
- Add the shrimp to the wok and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the cooked shrimp from the wok and set aside.
- In the same wok, add the broccoli and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, or until bright green and tender-crisp.
- Return the shrimp to the wok with the broccoli and pour the prepared sauce over the top. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce has thickened and coats the shrimp and broccoli.
- Serve the shrimp and broccoli in garlic sauce over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
