Servings: 4

Ingredients

Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Water
2 tablespoons
Cornstarch
1 tablespoon
Oyster sauce
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Broccoli
2 cups, cut into florets
Shrimp
1 pound, peeled and deveined

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and water. Stir until the cornstarch is fully dissolved and set the sauce aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant, but be careful not to let it burn.
  4. Add the shrimp to the wok and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the cooked shrimp from the wok and set aside.
  5. In the same wok, add the broccoli and stir-fry for 4-5 minutes, or until bright green and tender-crisp.
  6. Return the shrimp to the wok with the broccoli and pour the prepared sauce over the top. Stir well to combine all ingredients.
  7. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce has thickened and coats the shrimp and broccoli.
  8. Serve the shrimp and broccoli in garlic sauce over steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
