Shrimp and Broccoli Stir Fry

This delicious shrimp and broccoli stir fry is a quick and easy meal packed with flavor and nutrients.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Vegetable oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Water (1/4 cup)
  • Cornstarch (1 tablespoon)
  • Sesame oil (1 tablespoon)
  • Soy sauce (3 tablespoons)
  • Ginger (1 tablespoon, grated)
  • Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
  • Broccoli (1 head, cut into florets)
  • Shrimp (1 pound, peeled and deveined)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add broccoli florets and cook for 3-4 minutes, until tender-crisp.
  6. Return the shrimp to the skillet and pour the sauce mixture over the shrimp and broccoli.
  7. Stir well to coat everything in the sauce and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Serve the shrimp and broccoli stir fry hot over steamed rice or noodles.
