Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, scallops, lime juice, lemon juice, and orange juice. Mix well to ensure all the seafood is fully coated in the citrus juices.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until the seafood is opaque and cooked through by the acidity of the juices.
- Once the seafood is ready, add the finely chopped red onion, cilantro, diced tomato, cucumber, diced avocado, and minced jalapeño to the bowl.
- Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to taste. Gently toss all the ingredients together until well combined, being careful not to mash the avocado.
- Serve the ceviche chilled, accompanied by tortilla chips for dipping. Enjoy your fresh and zesty dish!
Tips
- For a spicier kick, leave some seeds in the jalapeño or add a dash of hot sauce.
- Serve with lime wedges on the side for an extra burst of citrus flavor.
- Feel free to experiment with different seafood like tilapia or octopus for a varied ceviche experience.
