This Shuk Spiced Coffee is a flavorful and aromatic twist on traditional coffee, infused with Middle Eastern spices.
Ingredients
- Milk (1/2 cup)
- Honey (2 tablespoons)
- Water (2 cups)
- Cloves (4 whole)
- Cinnamon stick (1 stick)
- Cardamom pods (4 pods, crushed)
- Ground coffee (2 tablespoons)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the ground coffee, crushed cardamom pods, cinnamon stick, cloves, and water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and let it steep for an additional 5 minutes.
- Strain the coffee mixture into two cups.
- Stir in honey to taste.
- In a separate saucepan, heat the milk until hot but not boiling.
- Froth the milk using a frother or whisk until it becomes creamy and foamy.
- Pour the frothed milk into the cups with the spiced coffee.
- Sprinkle with a pinch of ground cinnamon, if desired.
