Wake up to the delightful aroma of our Smoked Gouda and Potato Breakfast Pizza. This isn't your traditional pizza, but a gourmet upgrade of a classic breakfast. The pizza dough is topped with aromatic garlic-infused olive oil, thin slices of hearty potatoes, and a generous sprinkle of smoked gouda cheese that melts into a creamy, smoky blanket. The pièce de résistance is a perfectly cooked sunny-side-up egg, its golden yolk adding a rich, velvety layer to the pizza. A sprinkle of fresh parsley adds a pop of color and freshness that ties everything together. Enjoy this hearty, indulgent breakfast pizza on a slow weekend morning or serve it at your next brunch gathering.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

Fresh parsley
2 tablespoons, chopped
Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste
Eggs
4
Potatoes
2 medium, thinly sliced
Smoked gouda cheese
1 cup, shredded
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Olive oil
3 tablespoons
Pizza dough
1 pound

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Sprinkle a clean surface with flour and roll out the pizza dough into a round shape.
  2. In a small skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it turns golden and fragrant. This should take about 1 minute.
  3. Brush the garlic-infused olive oil evenly over the rolled-out pizza dough.
  4. Spread the shredded smoked gouda cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Arrange the thinly sliced potatoes on top of the cheese.
  5. Transfer the pizza to a preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Carefully remove the pizza from the oven. Crack the eggs onto the pizza, taking care not to break the yolks. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the eggs are cooked to your preference.
  7. Remove the pizza from the oven and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the top.
  8. Let the pizza rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your gourmet breakfast!
