The Southside is a refreshing cocktail that perfectly balances the botanical notes of gin with the zesty brightness of fresh lime and the cooling essence of mint. Its origins date back to the Prohibition era, where it was a favorite among speakeasy patrons in Chicago. This invigorating drink is ideal for warm evenings, summer gatherings, or simply as a delightful treat to unwind. Serve it over ice for a crisp experience that will awaken your senses!

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the fresh mint leaves with the fresh lime juice and simple syrup until the mint is fragrant and well bruised.

  3. Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds, or until well chilled.
