
Spaghetti Con Salsiccia E Zucchine
A delicious Italian pasta dish made with sausage and zucchini in a flavorful tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- Fresh basil (1/4 cup, chopped)
- Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, grated)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Red pepper flakes (1/2 teaspoon)
- Dried oregano (1 teaspoon)
- Crushed tomatoes (1 can (28 ounces))
- Garlic (3 cloves, minced)
- Zucchini (2 medium, sliced)
- Italian sausage (4 links, casings removed)
- Spaghetti (12 ounces)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the Italian sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced zucchini and minced garlic. Cook until the zucchini is tender, about 5 minutes.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
- Return the cooked sausage to the skillet and simmer for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta with the sauce.
- Serve the spaghetti con salsiccia e zucchine with grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil on top.
