Ground beef
1 pound
Onion
1, chopped
Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Canned diced tomatoes
14.5 ounces
Tomato sauce
15 ounces
Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons
Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste
Parmesan cheese
for serving, grated

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti noodles according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon. Cook until the beef is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a simmer and reduce the heat to low.
  5. Let the sauce simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens and the flavors meld together.
