Servings: 4

Ingredients

Ground beef
1 pound
Cajun seasoning
2 tablespoons
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Pepper jack cheese
4 slices
Hamburger buns
4
Lettuce leaves
4
Tomato
1, sliced
Onion
1, sliced
Spicy sauce
1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly until the spices are evenly distributed.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
  4. Grill the patties for approximately 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness: 160°F (71°C) for medium.
  5. In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to allow the cheese to melt.
  6. While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1 minute or until golden brown.
  7. To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cheesy patty, a slice of tomato, a slice of onion, and a generous drizzle of the spicy sauce. Cap with the top half of the bun.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the spicy goodness!
