Servings: 4
Ingredients
- Ground beef
- 1 pound
- Cajun seasoning
- 2 tablespoons
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Pepper jack cheese
- 4 slices
- Hamburger buns
- 4
- Lettuce leaves
- 4
- Tomato
- 1, sliced
- Onion
- 1, sliced
- Spicy sauce
- 1/2 cup
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly until the spices are evenly distributed.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.
- Grill the patties for approximately 5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness: 160°F (71°C) for medium.
- In the last minute of grilling, place a slice of pepper jack cheese on each patty and close the grill lid to allow the cheese to melt.
- While the burgers are cooking, toast the hamburger buns on the grill for about 1 minute or until golden brown.
- To assemble the burgers, place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cheesy patty, a slice of tomato, a slice of onion, and a generous drizzle of the spicy sauce. Cap with the top half of the bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the spicy goodness!
